Solar for Schools UK

How we help teachers

Our program supports teachers to open minds and expand horizons for a greener future

Children don't need to be persuaded about the importance of protecting their future. But they do need opportunities to innovate, practice their problem-solving skills beyond the curriculum and be able to seize opportunities in the transition to a green and sustainable economy.

Our solar education supports teachers to open minds provide the children with the skills and knowledge to take action. This may be through further study or an apprenticeships; all vital in maintaining the UK's leadership in green skills and technology,

Specialising in energy and sustainability

Our modern teaching resources and equipment, brings renewable energy into the classroom and to life, whilst linking it to the live data from the solar on the school roof.

Resources are designed to take the stress out of new ideas, across the curriculum and support teachers with tricky topics, such as energy, in science.

Foster global citizenship

As part of our Solar Schools Programme, engage with schools across the world. We have schools in Germany, India, Columbia, Mexico, Spain and Ireland.

Membership in our International Community of Schools allows your school to connect with schools abroad, exchange ideas on green skills and experiences, grow momentum in the global climate fight and build community.
