While solar panels are very reliable, they require monitoring and regular inspection to ensure peak performance and safety.
We install hardware to connect the inverters and meters to our remote monitoring systems and teams. This allows us to monitor the health of each system and identify underperformance or failures immediately. Each system is checked for performance daily, and underperformance or deviations are analysed by the monitoring teams.
We visually inspect each system every year and arrange diagnostic checks on any underperforming system. Simple issues are addressed immediately. Larger issues are flagged for further work. We then manage repairs, replace faulty equipment as needed and manage warranty claims. Where possible we combine the inspections with a learning opportunity for students by providing a workshop or a real time video tour of the system being inspected.
We collect and check electricity generation and export data, prepare FIT collection reports and electricity invoices as required on behalf of the council, trust or school to ensure correct and timely revenue collection.
Every school we work with has access to all our online education materials and full access to our mobile app for students and teachers, linking the data from the school’s solar and its consumption with the curriculum. The data can also be used to identify further energy and carbon savings while learning about the challenges of living more sustainably.
